KOSE Named Shorty Award Finalist

KOSE is happy to share we are a Shorty Award Finalist. The award is for our innovative campaign for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and the State Fire Marshal. It used AI assisted creative to educate Minnesotans about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.

“Being named a Shorty Award Finalist is truly meaningful recognition for our team and our partners,” said Nicole Newville, KOSE Founder & CEO. “This campaign shows how teams can use emerging tools like generative AI responsibly to reframe familiar public safety messages and make them extremely engaging. Most importantly, we’re proud to support work that helps Minnesotans understand the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning. And, it encourages them to take simple, life-saving steps to protect themselves and their families.”

KOSE partnered with Electric on the creative assets. Together they delivered:

  • High-impact, educational placements that ran statewide. They ran across digital video, audio, social, display, and real-world placements such as fuel stations and billboards.
  • Community outreach support through sticker distribution via local fire departments. That gave families an in-home reminder and was reinforced with fall and Halloween themed campaign visuals.
  • Awareness and engagement to support the distribution and installation of 2,500 carbon monoxide detectors across Minnesota communities.
