KOSE is thrilled to announce we earned a Bronze Shorty Award for our groundbreaking campaign for the Minnesota Department of Health. Specifically, this award-winning campaign inspired Minnesotans to get updated COVID-19 and flu vaccinations. It drove urgent public health action amid COVID fatigue and vaccine hesitancy. As a result, it increased statewide vaccination rates by 28% and additionally earned national recognition for its creative strategy and impact.

“We are incredibly proud of this achievement and the impact of this campaign,” said Nicole Newville, KOSE Founder and CEO. “Winning a Bronze Shorty Award underscores the power of creative, data-driven public health messaging. We started by listenening to Minnesotans and crafting messages that were simple, optimistic, and culturally relevant. Ultimately, that approach turned an overwhelming challenge into an opportunity to make a real difference.”

To bring this campaign to life, KOSE partnered with Friends & Neighbors and Red Comma on these key strategies:

  • To begin, we secured high-impact placements on TV, radio, Connected TV, and social media.
  • In addition, we tailored messaging for older adults, children, and multicultural communities.
  • Finally, there were engaging, text-driven video animations with a 60% video completion rate.
