Celebrating Community Builders

The following organizations are dedicated to uplifting their communities and making a positive impact in the world. We are inspired by the good work they do and believe that even small acts of kindness can lead to transformative change.  KOSE is honored to contribute time and resources to causes that truly create real and lasting effects in the areas where we live and work.

Housing in Action

In June, the KOSE team rolled up their sleeves to support Housing in Action (HIA). HIA is an organization committed to transforming communities through dignified, affordable housing and intentional neighborhood engagement. Since 1995, HIA has built 38 and renovated 78 homes, increasing affordable homeownership opportunities for low and middle income families. It was inspiring to see how the neighborhood has been transformed by the work HIA and its volunteers do. Things like helping residents with yard work as well as planting flower and vegetable gardens. It may seem like a small thing, but to families transitioning into new homes, it is a great support. The work they facilitate helps create welcoming spaces and even provides fresh vegetables to new homeowners.

Heather Fulton Curtis Foundation

The HFC Foundation was created to raise awareness of Takayasu’s Arteritis (TAK), a rare, chronic inflammatory disease that affects arteries and blood vessels. Over time, inflammation causes vessels to narrow or become completely blocked, restricting or even stopping blood flow. For the last five years, KOSE has partnered with the HFC Foundation. KOSE did so by providing support in the development of collateral pieces such as brochures and tradeshow materials. These items help educate both the general public and medical community about this rare disease. The agency team also assisted in producing supporting materials for a game the foundation developed. This game will aid in cognitive rehabilitation therapy. The Foundation is determined to spread the word about this life-threatening condition. And, KOSE is privileged to be a part of that mission.

MNSNAP – Spay and Neuter Assistance Program

At KOSE, our pets are a huge part of our lives. Because of this love, we’ve joined forces with MNSNAP, a nonprofit organization providing affordable spay and neuter services to reduce pet overpopulation. Their compassionate work touches countless families and communities across Minnesota. Whether through KOSE leadership serving on their board or through marketing support – we are passionate about contributing our time and talents to further their efforts.
